On semantics of behaviour languages

The paper focuses on semantics of behaviour languages. Three such languages are brieey introduced (the Behavior Language, REX, and PTNs) and their common semantics is discussed using the Statecharts formalism. The goal of this research is to address the need for augmenting the \behaviour-based design" paradigm with theoretical tools both adequate for expressing complex behaviours of autonomous reactive systems pursuing high-level goals, and applicable to both analysis and synthesis tasks for such systems. The analysis of the behaviour languages' semantics is a rst step towards this goal.
